Frequently Asked Questions
What is COACHING anyway?
A coach's role during difficult times, or for clients going through major life transitions, is to fully understand the client's situation and to be supportive to the client in as many ways as possible. A personal coach does not make any important life decisions for a client. The role of a coach is to assist a client in sifting through options and clarifying goals, needs, and priorities. The coach serves as an advocate for the client in pursuing the client's personal agenda. This may include helping the client to stay focused, or to re-focus if necessary, identifying obstacles to be overcome and assisting in overcoming them, and giving feedback to the client. In a coaching relationship the client will be (gently) held accountable for all movement or lack of action toward a stated goal.
What is your fee for coaching services?
First, I offer a complimentary 45 minute session for us to meet and decide whether coaching can be of help to you. My usual rates for individuals are $250 for a package of three individual coaching sessions, scheduled at the client's convenience. Following the initial three or four sessions, an individual may arrange for additional coaching if he or she wishes.
Do you coach by telephone?
Following an initial introductory session, coaching by telephone can be arranged to suit travel or work schedules. Face to face sessions at mutually agreeable times and intervals are preferred.
Can I pre-pay for coaching time and draw upon it as needed?
Yes, of course. After three initial sessions, time can be drawn in 15 minute intervals.
What happens if I miss or cancel an appointment?
Any of the initial three sessions may be re-scheduled, as needed, with no penalty.
Where are coaching sessions held?
Our office space is located in Buckhead, near the intersection of Piedmont Road and Hwy 400. For the convenience of clients, other coaching sites may be arranged.
